Community Action is a big part of Forest School – and it takes shape in many forms and under many guises!
Sixth Form Volunteering at Haven House
Our Sixth Form students dedicated their time volunteering at Haven House, a local charity providing care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. Through their efforts, they offer support and companionship to those in need, embodying the values of compassion and service.
Lower School Volunteering at Branches
Meanwhile, our Lower School pupils enthusiastically engage in volunteer work at Branches, another esteemed organisation within our community. By participating in various activities, they learn the importance of empathy and teamwork while making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Crafting for a Cause
In addition to volunteering, our students actively participate in fundraising activities. From creating handmade items to raising funds for: The Magpie Project and Celia Hammond.
Supporting The Magpie Project and Celia Hammond
The Magpie Project focuses on supporting homeless mothers and children in our area, providing them with essential resources and a safe environment. Celia Hammond is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming stray and unwanted cats, playing a crucial role in animal welfare.
Annual Afternoon Tea
Every year, our Community Action team hold an Afternoon Tea for the catering and cleaning staff (Chartwells) by preparing and serving the food.
Join us in celebrating the dedication and achievements of our students as they continue to make a positive impact on our community and beyond!
