At Forest Preparatory School, we constantly strive to ensure that everything we do is focused on pupil outcomes. We identify how we can help pupils to explore their learning and make the most of the school experience so that Forest Prep pupils become empathetic young people who are collaborative, concerned for society and confident, agile thinkers and doers who are enquiring, open-minded, risk-taking, creative and enterprising and who are not afraid to be hard-working, valuing practice, perseverance and resilience.

We have designed a curriculum which we believe is well-suited to our vision and regularly audit it to enhance wherever it is needed – Philosophy for Children, Music, Dance, Drama and Sport sit comfortably alongside the core of Maths, English and Science. Mandarin forms the core of our Modern Languages provision and the curriculum is rounded off with S.T.E.A.M., a full range of Humanities, Visual Arts and Technologies.

At Forest Preparatory School, we see personal and pastoral support and guidance as crucial to success of all pupils, we enjoy communicating what we are trying to achieve and how pupils and parents can participate, we see breadth as well as depth playing a significant part in developing the whole child and want our pupils to have the opportunity of participating in all aspects of what Forest has to offer.

The classroom curriculum is enhanced by a tremendous range of co-curricular opportunities which are seen very much as an essential aspect of a Forest education.  Clubs and Activities range from kick-boxing to Musical Theatre and the sheer variety available across Sport, the Performing and Visual Arts and beyond is extraordinary. Pupils take part in an array of educational day and residential visits and have an outstanding opportunity to explore their interests, their independence and their leadership skills both within and alongside the timetable.

Forest encourages confidence in our pupils and demonstrates that they can trust the school to help them be successful.  In the end, as they progress through the School, Forest Preparatory School produces pupils who are more than ready for the next stage in their education and are well on their journey to becoming the best version of themselves.

Please visit the Preparatory School and speak to staff and to current pupils – hearing them talk about their Forest experience makes them the best ambassadors any school could have!
