Year 6 Maths Day

Over 40 Year 6 students from 14 local schools came for an afternoon of Mathematical thinking and reasoning aided and abetted by Forest students from Years 11 and 12.

Pattern hunting on chessboards, flags, number rules and even some goat hunting abounded. The Year 6 were buzzing with ideas at the end.  Our visitors showed some great creativity in their thinking and were clearly inspired by our tremendous team of students (who drew unreserved praise and admiration for their guidance through the activities from the visiting teachers).  Huge thanks go to them and especially to Miss Rathod who made the day happen and such a great success.
