Sixth-form Scholarship Success

Forest School is proud of its contribution to helping the most disadvantaged students achieve their aspirations in Newham – one of the UK’s most deprived boroughs where one in five children lives in poverty.

This is evidenced by our long standing partnership with the London Academy of Excellence in Stratford where Forest is one of six founding independent schools that helped established LAE Sixth Form College in 2012.

In 2010, fewer than 40 students from the whole of Newham progressed to Russell Group universities.  In 2020, 37 students from LAE alone received offers from Oxford or Cambridge and, this year, we are delighted to be welcoming a student from Cumberland School so that she can benefit from all the opportunities that a Forest education has to offer by joining our own Sixth Form in September 2021.
