New Prep School Building Officially Opened

Today marked the official opening of our brand new Prep School building.

Almost exactly 100 years since the opening of the first Junior School in Forest, today we celebrated the official opening of our new Prep School building. Both the staff and the students of the Prep School attended dressed as a wide variety of characters from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, and listened intently to a speech by the Senior Deputy Head of the Prep School, Mr. Lander. Reflecting on the past, we looked back at the difficulties of the past 2 years – figuring out how to build a whole new school building with the pupils and staff still inside – and further back, to the original opening of the Gloucester Block (the old Prep School building) 51 years ago. The ribbon was finally cut by David Wilson, the Chairman of Governors, finally declaring the Prep School officially open.

The pupils (and staff) are all looking forward to utilising the wonderful facilities this stunning building has to offer. Here’s to another 50 years!
