National DSL Role for Forest

National Association of Designated Safeguarding Leads appoints Mr Jeff Kayne as National Coordinator.

Forest School are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Jeff Kayne as National Coordinator for all independent schools by NADSL.

The National Association of DSLs is the only multidisciplinary, independent safeguarding association to incorporate education, sport, faith groups, charities, community organisations, leisure, health and social care providers in the UK. NADSL aims to support staff in safeguarding roles by providing access to information, advice, training and professional development.

Mr Kayne said of his appointment:

‘I am very pleased to have been asked to be the NADSL National Coordinator for Independent Schools. This is a tremendous opportunity to create a national network of safeguarding professionals and to positively promote the sharing of best practice and to work together in the best interests of all children in all settings. Safeguarding and Child Protection is always the most important thing that we do, especially now as we continue to navigate the pandemic acutely aware that every child and their parents/carers are facing specific and individual challenges.’
