Forest School’s Diving Club enjoys a successful trip to Swanage
Pupils were from years 9,10 and 12. They have all completed the BSAC Ocean diver course comprising lectures, a written examination and skills assessed in a ‘sheltered environment’ (the pool).
All have now fulfilled the criteria for qualification but may still need to do one more dive to be fully signed off with all skills. With such a beautiful day yesterday most just wanted to experience the pleasure of diving off a boat without concern for assessment. Pupils undertake assessments in their own time when they are ready. The leap forward into 15M of water from a boat off the Dorset coast is a massive progression over the space of a weekend!
