Lower School Shout Out!

There have been lots of good news stories coming in over the last week from our youngest Senior School pupils.

Congratulations to Oliver who came third in the Chingford League- great job, Oliver!

Netball Celebration: On International Women’s Day 2022 last week, it seemed fitting for us to celebrate our Year 7 and 8 girls who won 1st place at the Waltham Forest Netball Rally which is an absolutely brilliant achievement! Our year 7s are going to represent Waltham Forest in the London Youth Games due to this win and they are also in the knock out stages (last 16) of the Essex Cup too! What a brilliant set of achievements- well done to your Year 7 Netballers!

Year 7 pupils Joseph, Joe and Zack have led Chapel this week on the Ukraine to the Lower School and the Sixth Form, as well as a brilliantly articulate and well-researched Lower School Assembly. The pupils also launched their own charity initiative to support Ukraine via their idea for a whole-School Non-Uniform Day this Friday where pupils are invited to dress in blue and/or yellow, should they wish, as a sign of support. This is a brilliant example of pupil leadership and pupil voice from three of our very youngest Senior School pupils having a direct impact at whole-School community-wide level and we are thoroughly impressed by how Zack, Joseph and Joe have exemplified Forest’s core values through their initiative and compassionate, thoughtful response to the complexities of the Ukraine crisis.
