Forest celebrates girls past and present

A record number of Old Forester girls returned to Forest on Saturday 11 March for a Girls’ Celebration event.

Organised by the Development Office, the former pupils were joined by members of Forest staff past and present, including all the living heads of the Girls’ School.

Guests were welcomed to their old school with speeches from the Warden, Marcus Cliff Hodges, Chair of the Governors, David Wilson and Governor, Dr Liz Sidwell CBE.

Speaking about the event, Alumni Manager, Samantha Gautama said: ‘With Old Forester girls from the first ever group that started in 1979, through to others having left as recently as 2013, the day truly showcased how fabulous Forest School girls are and what they have gone on to achieve.’

‘The girls were treated to a tour of the School by current pupils and a delicious high tea. They all had a wonderful chance to catch up, reconnect with each other and enjoy photographs and memorabilia from their Forest days. We can’t wait to see you all back again next time!’
