EPQ Symposium

On Tuesday 13th November Forest School held a symposium to celebrate and showcase some of the outstanding Extended Project Qualifications of our Year 13 students.

The students gave impressive presentations on a range of fascinating subjects, including responses to climate change, possible causes of the overrepresentation of African Americans in the US prison system and rising cancer rates in Africa.

A panel of illustrious Old Foresters, all renowned academics and experts in their fields, questioned the students on their findings; the students’ responses showed excellent knowledge of their chosen research topics, as well as the ability to think on their feet.

The project judged to be best presented on the evening was Coco Wheeler’s ambitious and creative redesign of our own Deaton Theatre, which was praised for its clear aims, varied and thorough research and superb presentation of her findings.
