Bringing a fresh narrative to Forest – the FSYAB

Last week we held the first meeting of the Forest School Youth Advisory Board.

Comprising of  Young Old Foresters ranging in ages from 18-28, the FSYAB seeks to offer diverse perspectives leading to the improvement of both pupil and staff experience here at School.

The Board will support improved education on equality/diversity/inclusion, offer fresh insight into young adults’ world of work and engagement with social issues, and liaise
with internal and external stakeholders to advise, support and engage with events, according to their own interests and skillsets. Working both collaboratively and as a
critical friend, Forest School Youth Advisory Board will bring a new narrative to Forest to make the School’s educational provision more relevant and inclusive than ever
before.

We are all very excited about this brilliant initiative and are very much looking forward to working with these fantastic young people in the months and years to come.
