Year 7 pupil Louis Lodder has won praise for his role as Third Boy in the ENOs production of The Magic Flute at the London Coliseum

Theatre website What’s On Stage described Louis’ performance as part of “an excellent trio of wizened little man-boys”, while the Telegraph gave the production four stars.

Louis was encouraged to audition for the role by the Head of Singing at the Centre for Young Musicians, which he attends weekly.

Speaking ahead of his performance, Louis said: “I am really excited but I’m taking it in my stride at the same time. School work is keeping me busy.”

To add to his already long list of achievements, earlier this year Louis won the Mayor of London’s Most Outstanding Scholar Award in the brass category at the London Music Awards.
