British Nutrition Foundation Award

For a number of years The British Nutrition Foundation (BNF) has run The Drummond Education Award scheme for GCSE to promote interest in, and awareness of, good practice in food and nutrition and to recognise and reward the achievements of outstanding students and their teachers in this subject area.

Kate Rigelsford is the winner of this year’s BNF Drummond Education Award for GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition for the OCR Awarding Organisation. Her results were recognized to be the highest from OCR this year throughout England!

The Award consists of a certificate presented on the Annual Day on the 19th November, a £50 prize for the student and a £100 prize for the school. It is hoped that the awards will inspire some of the winners to pursue a career in food and nutrition.
