‘Maximising Your Child’s Sporting Potential’ Evening

On Wednesday evening Forest hosted their annual Maximising your Child’s Sporting Potential evening.

The purpose was to give parents and pupils some additional knowledge and ideas about how they can help their child perform to their best, from club athletes to those with National Representation.

There were 3 speakers on the evening.  First up was Forest PE teacher and Strength and Conditioning expert, Jack Perham, who spoke about the importance of Strength and Conditioning in young athletes.  Next was Gemma Morgan, a performance coach, who spoke about leadership, what good leadership looks like and the pursuit of perfectionism.  Finally, we were very lucky to have the newly appointed England Bowling coach, Chris Silverwood, who took part in a Q&A with the audience, regarding everything from his early sporting days through to most recently managing Essex CCC to a Championship winning season.

Our thanks must go to all of the speakers for their time and providing parents and pupils with some brilliant and inspiring information to take away.
