Middlesex Gold and Record Breaker

Louis-Menzies (Y12) has hit the ground running in a phenomenal start to the athletics season.

When he’s not been busy taking big scalps for Forest against Tonbridge and Harrow, Louis has been racing for his club Victoria Park & Tower Hamlets. Following a gold medal at Middlesex Championships in the 400m, Louis has now gone and broken a longstanding fifty one year old Forest record for the 200m with a fine time of 22.59. The last Forester to hold the 200m record was D. Green, clocking a time of 23.01 back in 1968. Congratulations Louis – here’s to another half century of sprint dominance! There has been some fine performances from across the student body so far in athletics it seems sports day is shaping up to be the hottest ticket in town.
