A Gold medal leads to Olympic trials for Y11 Holly

Holly, who has been swimming competitively for over seven years, had a winning time of 27.11 seconds qualifying her for the upcoming trials.

Speaking about the win, Holly said: “I was extremely happy to win Gold again, as I won the Gold last year so I was able to retain my title.”

Looking ahead to the trials, she added: “I will be swimming alongside some talented Olympians. This is great motivation and inspiration, and whilst I am racing I am also hoping to learn from them too in order to improve my swimming.”

Holly, who trains eight times a week and almost 17 hours, said the School had supported her during her competitions. “Forest has been a great help for my swimming, with everyone always supporting me and my training sessions.”
