Forest’s 1st XI win ISFA’s Fair Play Award

The award, which recognises and celebrates good sportsmanship, comes after the team won the London Independent Schools’ Cup in March.

In his letter to the Warden, The Football Association’s Chief Executive Mark Dickson explained: “This is a particularly fine achievement from a field of over 70 schools who entered the tournament.”

Mr Dickson added the boys’ award was “in recognition of their excellent behaviour.”

The award follows an impressive season for the boys, which included wins in 21 out of 29 games, and over 100 goals scored along the way.

The boys played Latymer Upper School in the final, following an exceptional 3-1 semi-final win against St Paul’s School.

The competition included 21 independent schools from the London and south England region. Forest has beaten some strong sides along the way including teams from Royal Grammar School, Guildford, Sevenoaks School and St Paul’s School.

Speaking about the boys’ win at the London Independent Schools’ Cup, Forest’s Director of Sport, Mr Adams said: “It is a fantastic achievement and a fitting end for Captain Callum Thomson, Vice-Captain Sam Chinegwundoh and fellow Upper Sixth players Charlie Elson, Callum Daniels, Tayo Felstead, James Harvey and Will Taylor.”
