An evening of House Drama with the boys
The popular event, which is one of the highlights of the School year, coincided with the latest ‘pay for a day’ for Haven House Children’s Hospice.
Bishop’s House reigned supreme following a hotly contested evening, with other highlights including Best Actor to Corey (Copeland’s) and Best Supporting Actor to Joe (Doctor’s).
Year 12’s Finlay (Bishop’s) took home Best Director, while Eddie (Copeland’s) won praise for Best Newcomer.
Head of Boys’ School, Mr Kayne, said: “A full-house in the Deaton Theatre enjoyed an absolutely wonderful evening of entertainment involving fantastic performances; there were some poignant moments and many, many laughs.”
“It is all the more remarkable when you consider the boys do all the work themselves from start to finish.”
The evening helped support the Boys’ School nominated charity, Haven House, and Mr Kayne added: “I am delighted to say that we managed to raise just under £400 for the hospice.”
