An evening to celebrate the life of William Morris with special guest speaker Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen

The Brilliance of William Morris event, an evening of talks and an exhibition celebrating the life and work of this great artist and pioneer of socialism is being organised by the School on the date of his birthday.

Our guest speaker is interior designer and television personality, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen. Mr Llewelyn-Bowen describes William Morris as the “godfather of British pattern”, and in August 2012 he helped officially reopen the William Morris Gallery to the public after it underwent major redevelopment work.

Mr Llewelyn-Bowen will speak about William Morris’ continuing legacy, both here in the UK and internationally, and how Morris’ impressive body of work has influenced his own.

The event will start at 6.30pm in the School’s Dining Hall with drinks served before the talks begin at 7.00pm.
