Essex Cup U16

The Essex cup on Tuesday saw the Forest u16 team through to regionals for the fourth time in a row, scoring 17 and only conceding 3 throughout the day.

The day began with a 2-0 win against Bancroft, exhibiting some brilliant teamwork and patience to overcome a strong Bancroft defence that had maintained the score line to 0-0 at half time. Comfortable wins then came against Coopers and Chigwell, leaving the cup holders, Felstead still to play. Although Felstead started strong and were 2-1 up in the first half, the boys battled hard to score three in the second half and some committed defence was needed to seal off the 4-3 win. It’s a great achievement for the team to win the Essex cup and now the boys are looking forward to the regional round in Norwich.
