Y8 Form Captains visit City Hall
Forest’s Year 8 Form Captains visited City Hall on Wednesday 23 November for the Team London Youth Summit.
During the day, the eight newly appointed captains heard from keynote speaker and #iwill ambassador Saaed Atcha who spoke about the importance of giving back time and energy to the community.
Following this the Year 8 pupils worked on developing a social action project that they could bring back to school. The team decided on designing a campaign to tackle everyday sexism.
Captain Daisy said ‘It was such a productive, fun and influential day, that I learnt a lot from,’ while Maxwell added ‘I enjoyed today because I got to visit City Hall and it taught me good skills to help the community around me.’
Speaking about their task form tutor and Community Manager Ms Dyke said: ‘We look forward to seeing their project get off the ground in the coming months.’
