Socks and Chocs

Three pupils in Year 12 have organised a collection of ‘Socks and Chocs’ last week for Waltham Forest’s Feet on the Street charity.

They collected warm clothing like hats and gloves and socks along with food products like chocolates, nuts, cereal bars, soup sachets and hot chocolate for care packages to be distributed to rough sleepers next winter.  During the recent cold weather caused by ‘the Beast from the East’ Mags Drummond, founder of the scheme said people who donated had “helped save at least one life.” The team helps those in need in Waltham Forest but goes into neighbouring boroughs when required.
