ORBYTS: Part of the Twinkle Space Mission’s Outreach
Thirteen Year 12 students from Forest and LAE have a unique opportunity to undertake cutting-edge science under the tuition of PhD students from UCL.
Their research could have a meaningful impact on the future Twinkle space mission which aims to make discoveries about exoplanets once in orbit. Original Research By Young Twinkle Students (ORBYTS) is an inspirational programme that not only gives hands on experience of scientific research but can also challenge preconceptions about who can become a scientist. It is possible, if our students achieve significant results, that they could be named as co-authors on a paper in a peer-reviewed journal.
