Manga artist visits Forest

The Martin Centre hosted a Manga workshop on Wednesday 23 November by Chie Kutsuwada.

Chie is an award-winning Manga artist and illustrator. Her books include ‘Hagakure’, ‘The story of Lee’ and a Manga version of ‘As you like it.’

During the workshop, which was given to a mixture of Forest’s senior year groups, Chie demonstrated drawing techniques and pupils had the opportunity to talk to a professional artist about working in the creative industry.

Feedback was very positive from pupils with one describing the workshop as ‘an amazing opportunity’.

Following the workshop, the inspired pupils gave a presentation in the Martin Centre about the Manga art they had created.
