Celebrating Black History Month 2018

To launch this year’s Black History Month, a sold-out evening of entertainment representing Greater Manchester’s diverse Black communities’ history and culture was held recently in Manchester Cathedral.

Amongst the national and international artists performing poetry and music, the stars of the show (in our view) were ‘The Key in F’, two brilliant young violinists, better known to us as Forest brothers Tayo and Kai Felstead. Supported by family, Tayo (OF, who left recently) and Kai (current Y11) showed off the considerable musical skills we have seen in regular concerts here at Forest over the years.

We are very proud of their contribution to this important cultural event.
