Pupil Leadership Conference
We are holding a day conference on Tuesday 18th September 2018 to provide training for young people in posts of responsibility in day schools, who act as ambassadors and role models in our schools.
The conference will focus on developing strong leadership and public speaking skills, as well as handling difficult situations successfully and running pupil-led ventures.
This conference is being held as part of the Forest School Conference Programme. Last year we had over 150 young people attend the conference. We have been successful in securing a number of high-profile speakers, including former army captain and the first female recipient of the Carmen’s Sword of Honour for outstanding leadership Gemma Morgan, Actor and vocal coach Chris Jenkinson, Deputy Head Pastoral at Forest School and former rugby player for Scotland at U18, U19 and U21 levels Jeff Kayne.
The day will begin at 9.30am and run until 3.30pm and will consist of a mix of inspiring key note speakers, workshops, coaching sessions and the opportunity for informal discussions with students from other schools.
