Head of Swimming and Aquatics

Forest is seeking an energetic and inspirational Head of Swimming and Aquatics to make a significant contribution to a large, dynamic, and forward-thinking PE Department.

The Head of Swimming and Aquatics will work with the Director of Sport, to design and lead on the short and long-term development of swimming as a flagship sport in both the Senior and Prep School. The role involves developing swimmers of all ages and abilities, and ensuring pupils have the best possible opportunities to progress within swimming through expanding competitive opportunities. They will also be responsible for developing other aquatic sports into the school’s extensive co-curricular programme (i.e., water polo).

Whilst the leadership of the Swimming programme is the focus, they will also be expected to occasionally coach on other major sports throughout the year and take fixtures on Saturdays.

Introduction to Forest School

Surrounded by ancient forest and only thirty minutes from central London, Forest School is an outstanding independent day school located on the edge of Epping Forest. Forest is a large, diverse, and vibrant school, with approximately 1,500 pupils from 4 to 18. Our traditional House structure means that each pupil is treated as an individual, of whom we have the highest expectations, while our size enables us to offer breadth and depth of opportunity. Foresters are ‘known, liked and valued’ and this is central to our educational philosophy.
