Forest School will offer a small number of fee-paying places for new entrants into Year 9, who meet the selection criteria for September 2026 entry. The number of offers will vary according to the size of the cohort in Year 8 coming through to Year 9. Candidates should have reached the age of 13 before 1 September in the year of entry.
Registering your child
Parents are required to complete the online Senior School Registration form by midday Monday 19 January 2026 and submit a non-refundable registration fee of £180 (overseas registration are £240). Parents are advised to read through the relevant guidelines below and visit the school before applying.

Entrance Examination
13+ Entrance Exam will take the form of digital and written tests. Part one will be a digital test, one hour and thirty minutes in length and includes; Mathematics, English, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, and Puzzles and Problem Solving. Part two is a paper-based assessment of written English. Candidates will have thirty minutes for this section.

Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview with a senior member of Forest staff, where they will have the opportunity to talk about their interest and achievements, both academic and co-curricular.
