Open Day 2020

19 September 2020

Forest’s annual Open Day will take place on Saturday 19th September, 8.30am – 1.30pm.

Open Day is an exciting opportunity for families to see the whole School in action. All our 1,360 pupils will be busy in classrooms, at drama rehearsals, playing sport or performing in musical ensembles. Both Preparatory School and Senior School teaching staff will be available for informal discussion. Old Foresters are also welcome to visit the School on Open Day.

Highlights not to be missed!

  •  Science in action

Join our scientists for demonstrations and experiments in Forest’s state-of-the-art laboratories in the Science Block.

  • Music to suit all tastes

Pause in the Chapel Quad to hear lively performances by the Soul Band, the Big Band and the CCF Drum Corps. Visit the Music School to enjoy open rehearsals by the Chamber Orchestra.

  • All the School’s a stage!

Watch rehearsals of the next Senior School production in the Drama Studio and meet the Stage Crew to see how the Deaton Theatre is transformed by lighting and sound.

  • Get Inspired!

Essex County Cricketer, James Foster, will be delivering a masterclass for boys and girls in the Sports Hall.

Don’t forget to visit The Park – 25 acres of the School’s sports grounds, which is easily accessed through the forest. There will be a boys’ U11 football tournament on the grass pitches and a boys’ and girls’ mixed activities session on the astroturf pitch.

Stop by the Sylvestrian Leisure Centre for the swimming demonstrations.
