Forest Preparatory school has recently announced plans to build an extension to the Preparatory School that will provide state-of-the-art facilities for Prep School pupils and enable us to add an extra form in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 to meet increasingly high demand at 4+ entry.
As one school, we are looking to the expansion of the Preparatory School to further strengthen the Forest ethos by giving more children the chance to experience an all-through Forest education comprising excellent academic teaching and learning, superb pastoral care and extensive opportunities outside the classroom for pupils of all ages to grow in many different ways. The extension – to be completed by September 2020 – will be achieved by adding another floor to the full length of the existing Prep School building and then creating a roof top playground space above the new floor.
This expansion will not increase the overall number of pupils at Forest School. The current size of the School means that total pupil numbers can be balanced out over the next two years without any significant change to entry points in the Senior School. However, we are delighted to say that it does mean we will be able to accept more pupils in Early Years and the changes to Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory School admissions for the school year 2020-21 and 2021-2022 are as follows:
September 2020 Entry
4+ – 48 places with assessments in late September 2019
5+ – 16 places with assessments in January 2020
6+ – 16 places with assessments in November 2019
7+ – 16 places with assessments in January 2020
Please note that after September 2020 there will be no more admissions at 7+
September 2021 Entry
4+ – 48 places with assessments in late September 2020
