A Big Forest ‘Congratulations’ to King Charles III

Forest School’s community came together today to mark the official beginning of the reign of King Charles III on May 6th.

And, who better to lead this than the Forest School CCF, who incidentally are celebrating their 140th year. The rain held off (there had been two very heavy showers in the hour before the parade was due to happen) and the Sun even peeked out briefly as our CCF Drums Corps led the cadets across to the Acorn, where after saluting the King, the Union Jack was raised on our recently re-established flag pole.

Meanwhile, Chartwell’s served a suitably royal lunch, complete with scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam.

Long live the King!
