Forest votes Remain

430 people voted to remain a member of the European Union, with 108 voting to leave.

Forest School’s Politics Society have been running assemblies in recent weeks in preparation for both the national and Forest’s own EU referendum.

Mr O’Brien-Blake, Teacher of Politics at Forest commented: “Only a small number of our Year 13 students are legally entitled to vote in this referendum, but every one of our students will be deeply affected by its result.”

“The student-led Politics Society was keen to engage with as many students as possible to discuss Britain’s future, and to give them an opportunity to have their voices heard.”

” Like our school-wide general election last year, the engagement was incredible, and it is clear that our students would prefer to see Britain remain in the EU.”

Further breakdown of results will appear on this page during the day.
